With the purchase of a propane stove last year, we are trying to support a school lunch program. For many of the 800+ students, this is often their only meal of the day. When the propane tanks ran dry a few months ago, there was no money to refill them and we could no longer provide cooked food.
Also on our “to do” list is to dig a well. Believe it or not, this school does not have its own water supply. Water is hauled from a nearby convent, thanks to the generosity of the nuns.
